Description
The VAN trade frees up 5 mil for so they can sign their big guys and de Haan’s deal is done after this season. The Hawks get a guy who can play with Jones to try and have a decent top pair.

The NJ trade frees up space so the Devils can make a big push for Hamilton this off-season. The Hawks won’t have to tie themselves up in a Zadorov contract and will have 9 mil off the books for the following season to sign Dach and others.

The TOR trade gives the Leafs some depth forwards that are reliable in their own zone and with Connolly he brings playoff experience to a win now team. The Hawks just get out of Connelly’s contract and open up some spots for the young forwards to play.

Beaudin and Mitchell can spend the year playing top minutes in Rockford and the following season can come up and challenge for a spot on the roster.

NJ doesn’t need to free up cap space, they could offer dougie the moon and still have cap space for a couple other players

NJD has $25 million more in cap space than Chicago.
And Subban plays in our top-4.

We are more likely to re-sign him than dump him.
