lol, price isn't crosby.
if price was worth anything substantial with retention seattle would have taken him.
1st + 3rd is fair for what price is now. flyers are going to have to deal with the last 2-3 years of that contract. probably cost them a 2nd maybe even a 1st to get rid of it.
He's not Crosby, but close to him (never had the teams that crosby had). At 5m per year it's less a problem that at 10.5 m. You need to think that :
The Habs doesn't want to trade Price unless the offer is beautiful, which yours is clearely not, you're lowballing
Price won't go anywhere unless it's in the west and even with that I don't think so
Seattle didn't take him BECAUSE of the 10.5 m and the fact that they have good young options in net and a new franchise will not take an veteran unless it's less expensive
You're talking about a goaltender that basically lead the Habs to a unbeliveable Stanley Cup Finals, so he's worthing a lot more than a 1rst and a 3rd.
I'd say names like that, but for Price with retention salary you will at least need a 1rst, a Goalie who can plays now (Hart) A #1 guy (a Provorov or an Couturier by example) annother roster player which can be used by the Habs and at least a top A prospect
But it will never happens and btw Perry stays in MTL, just saw that
