Fair value across the board. Maybe a top 3 protection on the Anaheim pick but not bad.however I don’t see suter signing in Buffalo.

Handshake agreement that pays him the most, but sabres retain 50% allowing him to go to a competitor that may be cash strapped, Sabres can take a bad contract back too to make it work for him

I dont see him looking for money at all. Not when hes getting paid by minny still. What happens if the deal doesnt work out or if that contender doesnt want to give assets. There are too many things that could go wrong and after making all that money with a hefty chunk still to come, hes gonna sign in the best situation for him. Hes not jumping through all these hoops just to help buffalo.

Any assets Buffalo gets are free, and what if no contenders want him as UFA? too many variables

There are teams that want him. Reports are nyi and bos are interested. But with so many LD2s in fa teams arent necessarily gonna give up assets for him if they dont get him. Thats what i meant. What im basically saying is suters not gonna sign with buffalo just to help them out. Hes gonna sign where he wants to go play, and buffalo aint it.

Suter is already making a ton regardless of what he does because of the buyout so I really don't see him chasing the money and knowingly going to a team that is just going to trade him away again in a couple months. Just sign the cheaper deal with a contender and get used to the system and your teammates rather than spend months on a team you know you're not going to hang around.

Theyll have so many prospects again, they just need to not trade them all away for ROR then trade ROR for nothing

This is literally the most insignificant part of the ACGM
