Devils are not taking nothing cap hits for a goalie that has been dreadful for two straight years. They can get someone cheaper in free agency. 4th rounders are nice kickers in close deals, but does not move that contract and need to have picks going TO NJD.

the devils would be getting the picks in that trade holtby has had back to back baaaaad years with last year being worse than wedgewood.

devils probably aren't looking to hold the bag for Bennings mistakes. if you want relief hes probably going to have to make a hockey trade and give up one of the good players that he screwed himself out of being able to pay.
