I hope your wrong. He can't pk and was taken off the top pp. Give Sandin his spot and trade him for a power forward. They can't afford to resign him, his a way better trade piece.

Oilers decline
Leaf AGM’s can stop trading Mikheyev and Engvall to the Oilers don’t want either and there’s better cheaper options as UFA’s market

The exact statement you get from a AGM when he’s trying to trade a player because he wants to replace him with someone better, if Engvall’s good you keep him

Oilers need guys who are quick and strong forechecking players. Who can play 200ft. Envgall is that.

I’d say the Leafs need that as much as Edmonton does in their bottom 6 the problem is you can find that player for under a mil as a UFA making Engvall overpaid and every penny counts in a flat cap world
