why not find a trade partner for someone to take rask contract instead of killing the d more?

After buying Suter out, it seems pretty clear that Dumba is staying. If they didn't see him around long term they woulda traded him before the expansion draft and kept Suter - there's also no way that replacing Dumba with McCabe or Goligoski is a smart idea at all.

As for the trades, they just aren't that realistic at all. Arizona will likely get more for Dvorak since he's a young, team controlled centre. & Toronto definitely isn't retaining almost 50% or Kerfoot, their cap doesn't allow them to retain on any contract and they don't need to since they have no bad contracts on the team. Plus they need centre's more than they need wingers so it doesn't make sense to move Kerfoot for an at best middle 6 winger.

Rask contract is really not important. Don’t understand why people are so worried about getting rid of him. It’s all about cap space in the upcoming 3 year. We have plenty of money this year to pay Rask so his contract is not important to trade away. Rask has 1 year left

well the description on the dumba trade is for cap purposes dumba is a lot more value to the team then rask and for cap purposes it clears 4 mil so I don't know keep a play that's actually important over a play who isn't?

So wild aren't going to trade dumba, or give him away especially after Ryan suter and Carson soucy

Jordan greenway and Kerfoot deal is a no from Wild's perspective. Greenway is younger, cheaper, has more skills than Kerfoot and more important to wild. Kerfoot is a bottom 6 Winger, not a c wild need
