I just don't see us having any reason to acquire Kuznetsov. Arizona is rebuilding, as evident by our trades lately. I've got to believe we are looking for a 2022 1st + for Dvorak.

There's no chance wild are taking on Brendan Dillon's contract

I was dumping all of the Caps bad contracts onto Arizona earlier in the year, as well, it made sense. They seemed primed for a rebuild, and had cap space to take on contracts. However, that's happened, but the Caps were too slow. Gotta find another team now.

Plus, I don't think the Caps really want Kessel, do we? I don't think Dvorak is nearly as good as Kuzy either, so this Caps team is surely worse with this trade.

Not sure the Wild cap situation (maybe not taking the contract on because they just can't), but $3.9 mil for a top 4 physical / stay at home LHD is not bad...
