Tierney and Bert

Description
I think Tierny half retained would be the perfect #3C for the leafs. I think 2nd is resonable. Maybe 2nd and a 6th or a low prospect?

On left wing I am eyeing a few guys, Bert, Forsberg half retained for the year, Coleman are my main 3. This AGM I went with Bert.

Back up goalie can be a lot of options. In This case I went back to Andersen to 1a, 1b for the year. But we could see a lot of different options. Fleury half retained would be my number 1 target.

Signed a bunch of guys for the Taxi squad as well.

I like this team a lot!

No way in hell Bertuzzi is worth that package. Toronto passes, Wings will be lucky to get a 1st for him - more likely a B prospect and a 2nd.

If you're gonna trade for Tierney to play 3C you might as well just keep Kerfoot there. They're very similar players and Kerfoot doesn't cost anything to get.

Yeah I don't really see a point in getting Tierney while Kerfoot is still here. I'm not sure why Dubas thought Seattle would take Holl over Kerfoot, really wish he protected McCann

Detroit passes, We just resigned Staal as our bottom pairing LD so Dermott isn't a need. How many times do we need to say that Yzerman wants a NHL ready players for Bertuzzi not futures?

In this scenario we have both. We need depth on C and at forward in general. There are zero negatives in having both of them.

Dermott can play on the right side as well. He is young and could thrive with more opportunity elsewhere.

Dude we've Hronek, Seider and Stecher on the right side so it's still a no go. Dermott isn't a need for us and he's not going to be as good as what we've in our pipeline.

Trade Kerfoot for Tierney at 50% retained gives you enough difference in AAV to have two min salary players. It’s not a great solution, but it works, and the difference in salaries is a positive for Ottawa.

LMFAO You mean Bertuzzi isn't worth a bottom pairing LD we don't need a late 1st round pick and a prospect that's only scored 13 points in the KHL so far. Overvalue Leaf players much?

Toronto got a 1st and a couple of prospects for Kapanen and since Bertuzzi is better so a 1st and a prospect isn't far off. Since Detroit doesn't have to trade Bertuzzi it will take an overpay to get him out of Detroit

I don't think you know how to evaluate prospects right. A teenager playing in the KHL with regular minutes isn't a vastly common thing, the fact the Amirov is says a lot about how good he is. There won't be a top prospect like him in any deal for Bertuzzi.

Good then Bertuzzi wont be playing for the Leafs, because outside of their top prospects. they've nothing to provide us for Bertuzzi. Kerfoot, Envall and Dermott none of those pieces remotely interest us for Bertuzzi.
