Definitely need to get rid of that Byron contract, also Johnson doesnt want to play for Canadian team.

I agree re the Canada thing, but if Tampa was willing to lose Foote in the expansion draft I don't see why they would be against using him (if needed, which I don't think he is) for cap dumping.

I also think he is quite overrated on here.

He's a very good young cheap player at TB's weakest position he's not going anywhere.

It's the "very good" part I disagree with. If he was so good he would have been given regular minutes by now. As you accurately point out, Rd is the one area TB is weak in depth. Meanwhile guys like Schenn got minutes ahead of him. He's 22 now I believe. That's getting somewhat old for not being trusted with NHL minutes

He was making some rookie mistakes but not repeating them I think you see him playing a LOT!!!! more this coming season.
It takes Defenseman around 200 games to really get it
