Drury turned down less than this? According to who?

Apparently Zibanejad is seeking 8x10. I don’t think he gets that, but he’s not signing for less than 8

I think we walk from him if he wants $10 mil by 8 years. I doubt Drury said no to that if that was an option.

Which is within there right to request. Doesn’t mean we accept, but understandable from a Sabres perspective.

Sad contract is a mistake. I’d rather move Kreider to RW on the second line than sign Saad.

I haven’t seen anything saying this was an option and it was turned down. Sabres fans would say no, but I wouldn’t have an issue if they pulled the trigger on this. Considering Chytil, Kravtsov were 1st round picks, a 1st is being included and Jones is a solid d prospect. I don’t think it’s an awful offer. But I am bullish on Kravtsov so I do have my biases.

Rather have Blake Coleman than Saad. Put him on third line with Goodrow. Move Kreider to 2nd row with Zib and I'm ok with it.

“Apparently drury has turned down less than this.” OP’s words. I’m just trying to figure out where he saw that information?

I had only read that Drury turned down all packages involving Nils Lundkvist (good) and Braden Schneider (bad). I don’t see either of them in this trade though, so I’m not positive that he would turn down this offer.

It’s just early negotiations for Zibanejad. The $10m won’t be final. It’s probably going to be 6 years at around $9M. (Dumb side question, would that be a 9x6 or a 6x9? I’m genuinely not trying to be a comedian if the answer is the latter)

I saw chytil, kravstov, lund/schn, and the first. Dont remember where. Theres no way the sabres are looking for a left handed d, so this makes at least some sense. Also saw that our owner absolutely wants him out west. Do what you like with that, we are where we are because the owner has been liberally "helping" the gms make decisions like this.

I’ve accepted for the past month that Jack Eichel won’t be a Ranger. Don’t worry

I’m not sure if there’s an official way to say it. I usually go money then years. So 9x6 to me is $9 mil by 6 years. Guess it just depends on the person.

Haha yeah it's something I always wondered even though it's rather inconsequential. Elliotte Friedman went with years X money in his recent blog, if that means anything. But hey, it's really just the commutative property of multiplication lol
