Why do the Devils want him?

There haven't been any rumors linking him to the Devils and the Devils aren't dying to unite all 3 brothers.

The fan base says otherwise. I’m not saying that the GM wants him but if they do want Hughes, it’s gonna be very painful to get him out of Vancouver..

You’d be surprised. To be honest, it’s hard to tell what Hughes trade value is because he hasn’t really developed his defensive game yet. Once he does that, he will be a force on the blue line and will be a top defenseman in the league. As of right now he’s still developing and not gonna be moved.

Luke wont even be in the NHL for 3-4 years & Quinn will be a UFA in 5 seasons. If they really want the brothers, they may as well wait. Ill leave out the part that Quinn doesnt play defense.

Regardless, Van is not trading Quinn at any price.

I don’t think Luke takes that long to make it to the NHL. If the Canucks sign Quinn to a bridge deal and then a long term deal, he will not reach UFA for a long time.

Guess we will see ... so much will change by then. Who is to say any Hughes is still in NJ by then. Injuries, flops, hockey trades ... this Hughes brother reunion thing is all nonsense.

Looking forward to it being over as a discussion point

Luke said his NHL ETA was 1-3 years. I think he'll make it in 2 years

Not many 19 year old Defenseman in the league. I hope they don't rush him, confidence is everything. Blueliners typically take longer. Kid will have enormous pressure on him ....
