What’s realistic asking price at this point? Holtz, Mercer, Foote, and 2022 1st would not be included. Thinking package could center around Boqvist or Clarke and a 2nd/3rd round pick

I like Boqvist. No way you're sending a young talent like him on a cheap contract for a veteran that has been recommended to not play Hockey. I would give St.Louis a 3rd. Seattle didn't pick him for free so im not really paying that much to take his contract on. Hamilton would also be a great fit. With the addition of Graves a Savard like player isn't as needed. I love that top 4. But yeah Tarasenko could be a nice experiement. Make sure to not overpay.

I remember a retired player who became a color commentator once telling the story about playing against Gordie Howe and the Hartford Whalers when the Hall of Famer was at the end of his career and the new guy was a rookie. Eager to make a name for himself, and finding himself on the opposite side of a 10-man scrum after a whistle, and thinking GH was going to have trouble reaching him, he called across the mosh pit “HOWE! I want YOU!” For the briefest second, everyone froze and then, magically, the onlookers parted like the Red Sea. As Mr. Howe skated towards the rookie, rolling up his sleeves, the kid had the presence of mind to say “How’s the wife and kids?”

I think the seas are gonna part for you to grab onto Tarasenko.

I like something around Wood but another fan said you need his physicality. Wouldn’t be opposed to Boqvist.

Couple of things 1) if he wasn’t cleared to play Blues would be all over putting him on LTIR and also it’s just not the case 2) Seattle made the right decision taking Dunn he is 24 and a Top 4 Dman 3) Tarasenko doesn’t waive to NJD

Devils signing Dougie could entice him

Maybe but I don’t know if that alone would add them to his list of trade-able teams. Could be though, but I think from a value standpoint Wood and a pick would be good.

Honestly, Tarasenko probably goes a mid-pick at this point.
Rarely do teams put surgeons directly in touch with media...I'd be worried

Never anywhere was Tarasenko recommended to not play hockey. You made that up. The NHL will be better once McDavid decides he wants out of Edmonton.

I can only assume that Boqvist and a 2nd or 3rd would get it done.

1- Haha what?! Where did you invent that fiction from?
2- And you would be soundly rejected. Because duh.
3- Yeah, because they were able to grab Dunn, who fit with their scheme of taking on as little salary as possible. Let's not pretend that Seattle chose to make the best team.

I responded to the part I wanted to address. It's already known that he's healthy now, so I don't feel the need to debate that any further.

He has been reccommended by doctors to not play hockey after having 3 shoulderoperations on the same shoulder. It is a big risk taking his contract on. No reason to pay more then a 3rd. Yeah Dunn is good and it made sense to pick him but Seattle will go for it immediately so if they saw something in Tarasenko they would have chosen him. Also he is a big name player that will attract fans. Could be a decent captain just like he wanted to be in St Louis.

If they reject my 3rd pick that is fine. Im not giving them a 2nd that will be a 33-35 pick probably. better to sign a Gusev or something instead. He could cost you 3-5m which is atleast 2.5m cheaper and you don't give up anyhing for him. Also the ownership has given the Seattle GM permission to go for it and spend up to the caproof. Im not saying they went all out this draft because they were conservative but the GM can do whatever he wants

1- I DEFY you to produce ONE source saying anything resembling this.
2- Dude, he's healthy now. And played from March on with no issue.
      3- You're in fantasy land.
4- Again, did you not see their picks? They went cheap, cheap, cheap, even taking some players nobody had ever heard of and expiring UFAs they have no intention of signing.

As I said. They went conservative. But the GM can spend up to the roof if he so wishes. If they saw something in Tarasenko they are taking him no doubt. A somewhat healthy Tarasenko is a no brainer and it will attract fans. I think that no team is trading for Tarasenko as they agree with me on the price. It isn't really worth it. A 2nd plus something else. If any team thought it was worth it he would have been traded. I just don't think you should in this flatcap-era take on his 7.5m with all his surgeries. This will be his last shot. About him being recommended not to play it was in a podcast but it is not an english one. I hope to see him recover well but he hasn't been himself since the injuries.
