the article said that's what Casey told Seattle when they approached him.
you've got to be hoping that's him telling a brand new team - "if I'm going to move my family and start over with a new team and leave my current one, you're going to have to pay me a kings ransom"... I say he goes for like 3-3.25 if he stays.

If Casey proves himself out of LI why waste Bellows on a 4th line C when you can sign Zajac, Fipulla, Glendenning etc. that’s just bad asset management.

Bellows is probably done here, either because Lou/Trotz have no faith in him or because he legitimately isn't that good. I choose to believe in the former because the flashes he's shown are enough to make me think he still has middle-6 potential and needs a *sigh* change of scenery if he's going to tap into it.

Larsson on the other hand has been one of the better pure defensive forwards in the league for the last few seasons; I think he'd be a great replacement for Cizikas and if he plays well, perhaps we can take a run at re-signing him when hes a UFA again. If not, we buy another year for a prospect to grow into that spot.

As for the names you mentioned, Filppula is kinda washed at this point and I like Larsson more than Glendening. Zajac I wouldn't hate but I don't want to go back down the performance bonus road again (notice Parise wasn't signed either) and again, I think Larsson is an upgrade.

To me, it's only bad asset management if its a guy who the organization placed any sort of value in, but based on their actions last season, it doesn't seem like they have

Perhaps and if that's the case, I'm all for bringing him back. Just another look at what happens if a team actually does offer him that much (after the Jones fiasco, nothing would surprise me anymore...) and he bites

Bellows at worst will still get a 2nd round pick back, Larson may get a 3rd at best and more likely a 4th. That’s bad asset management. With what Arizona has been doing you could trade them Hickey and a B prospect like Aho for Larsson.

What about derek grant? His underlying numbers are great and he has 2 years left at 1.5. He seems like a great guy to target.

It's been my impression for awhile now that his advanced stats were horrendous, so that's why I asked. But if you saw something different I was curious
