I don't mind as long as the logic is sound. This time it was not.

Honestly didn't know you couldn't offer sheet Hughes. Well good thing I posted a backup plan in the description.

Also for the Eichel deal, they get 4 pieces that they were looking for. Chiarot is someone who they're pursuing hard, KK is a C to go along with Cozens/Mittelstadt, Drouin is a reclamation project, and the 1st should be solid.

Not sure what else Montreal can really offer here. Like there are fans saying that KK for Eichel is unfair for Montreal in a 1 for 1.

Do you have any suggestions? You seem kind enough for banter on here.

Titles on cap don't allow for punctuation sadly. Was supposed to have a question mark at the end.

Very doubtful you'd get Eichel without Suzuki being part of the deal. Especially being dealt within the division. if Detroitwere making an offer Adams would want at least Zadina and Seider and Raymond as pieces and they're pretty much better then what's being offered here.

Edited for Hughes. What else would Montreal need to add.
Rumours are that Buffalo wants Chiarot, and are overvaluing him.
KK is their 3rd best "prospect"
Caufield/Suzuki are off limits
Drouin is a reclamation project, but could pan out well
2022 1st could be higher. Depends on if Allen plays well or not. Atlantic has also gotten a lot stronger with Florida/Boston beefing up their rosters.

Buffalo wanted 4 pieces. These are 4 decent pieces.

Suzuki has been playing quite well. Eichel is the better player now, but I'm not sure in a few years. Also injury concerns.
That would be quite the offer from Detroit if they did that. Not sure if 3x 60 pt players (future potential) for 1x 100 pt guy is worth it for a rebuilding team

They want two NHL ready pieces, two prospects and a pick.

Drouin is virtually valueless right now due to not playing for a while for personal reasons. He's not enticing for anyone. Kraken just proved that by not touching him for free in the ExD, no one wants to risk that contract.

I dunno where you base their interest in Chiarot, but let's say he's the one they're after. So Kotkaniemi+Chiarot+1st. That's lacking the two prospects.

Add Guhle and Mysak. I think that might realistically start some discussions.

Personally speaking if I were Sabres GM I wouldn't deal Eichel to Habs without Suzuki or Caufield coming back. But I understand why Habs wouldn't agree to such deals.

Guhle isnt interesting to Buffalo, Mysak isnt interesting. Montreal doesnt have a shot without Suzuki. NOTE: I am not saying MTL is going to trade Suzuki, more so MTL isnt serious about Eichel.

I want to say they spoke about Chiarot in this video (it's Dreger, I forget how much his word impacts trade rumours, could be BS, not 100% sure)

So 2 NHL Ready Pieces
Drouin/Chiarot
My argument is that they didn't take Tarasenko in expansion as well as many other notable players, so them passing on Drouin is iffy at best. It's a reclamation project on Drouin. He's still a decent forward. If he isn't, then it's only a 2 year deal. Their timeline is longer than that.
2 Prospects
I don't mind KK/Guhle
2022 1st I suppose then.

If they don't want Drouin, they could take Byron as the NHL ready piece.

That is truly dependant on the GM too. Like Reinhart was valued less than Risto. Taylor Hall was less than Foligno. So depending on which GM you ask, the value differs.

Not saying that Chiarot/Drouin are worth 1sts, but Drouin could be a decent bet, and they are somewhat interested in Chiarot from the video I posted from Dreger.

True. And yeah no one understands what went on with the weird valuing of the trades and players

I mean if the likes of Schneider or Lundkvist are going to be dealbreakers for NYR in an Eichel trade I think Adams is discussing about very different level prospects than the likes of Suzuki right now for the Eichel deal.

He's going to outprice him out of realistic offers...or sell him way too cheap. There's just no in-between with the guy.
