I don't know why, but I'm really not enamored with Mike Reilly. I know there aren't too many logistical options for the islanders but I'm not sure about him.

It's such an underwhelming deal for the Blues. Doug Armstrong said he's only gonna do a deal that will benefit the Blues this does not. So Blues hold onto Tarasenko and when his value pops right back up it's gonna cost you a pretty penny at that point.

that's the hard part for STL getting what they want and teams who are interested... the unknown of his health and ability. yes, his doctors came out and said he's healthy... most people won't believe until they see it.
so, STL and their fans have to hope to hold him, hope he's healthy and hope he's motivated to get himself moved if he really doesn't want to be there.

I agree, i would prefer Martinez/Dunn/suter over him too. Just doesn’t sound like the Islanders are gonna get any of em

I wasn't really a huge fan of taking a deal with Suter in the first place. We have a lot of young guns who could really take some spots and take advantage of the ice time. Obviously we should consolidate the 2nd pairing Left side, but I don't if Suter would have been exactly the guy for that job.

Edit: So keeping Tarasenko is fine if we aren't trying to get Suter.
