Yeah I don't think Hart would take that contract he's gonna want a buttload of money. For 4 years you probably looking at least 5 million if not more. My guess 2-3 Million for 2 years and if it gets into the long-term end it gets hefty into the 7-8 Million mark.

He has no leverage to ask for that price on a long term deal after being the worst starting goalie in the league last year. I don't even think either side is looking long term probably in the 2 year 2-3 million range you suggested

Neither side touches a long term deal. Carter Hart is much better than what chuck would offer him long term, and him and his agent know its not worth even attempting that. Agreed we are talking more likely a 2 year deal around 2.75 AAV. won't be much higher than that because they want to save some money for a pretty good co-pilot, until Hart really shows he can rebound.
