We don't have the cap space for Rielly unless if we are sending serious cap hit back.

not yet, he will be running PP2 out the chute in TO and in 3-4 years he could be pushing Hamilton out of PP1 QB. Very underrated young defensman that would fit like a glove with Brodie as a 2nd pairing.
The Leafs won't need to sign another defenseman unless for depth AHL purposes

He just isn't NHL proven yet that's why I'm skeptical. Not much different from Liljgren

fair enough
but Vancouver fans would be rioting in the streets if Rathbone got traded and a player like Reilly wasn't involved coming back.
