He's a 26-year-old first line winger. We developed him for five years. The best they can get was a 4th liner and a 2nd?

Forgot the cap issues, this is now an issue of ASSET MANAGEMENT.

Asset issue. Learn the game. Clearly got the best return they could.

And Goodrow signing I love. Fine deal.

Trade was not good but you also love the Goodrow signing? Drury burner account?

Trade was fine. Wasn’t gonna sign him. 2nd round pick is good. Blias is a decent player. Only two offers where available. Took the best one. And Goodrow deal is fine. Maybe too long but that it’s

Honestly glad you’re at least optimistic about the Buchnevich deal because I think people are more down on it than they should be. I believe Blais is better than he’s been given credit for, but it still feels pretty lopsided. Can’t justify the trade for NYR, but I genuinely think you will love Blais.

We always wait too long, not Drurys fault. Buch finally had a solid season, surprise surprise in his contract year. He simply hid behind the refs less than usual this year. Now GMs know he wants a regrettable suicide term, hence the average return, glad it's not us.
Priority is bottom 6 depth with cup exp, grit and defensive play. Goodrow and Blais will help.

I’m also on the side of glad we moved Buch and didn’t sign him to 6.5AAV. He will regress and now it won’t be our problem. Now, that contract on another roster is fine if they have lots of space. The fans that are unhappy with the trade are the ones who maybe don’t realize how good Kravs is and blocking him from moving up is a bad idea. Blais is a kid that is perfect for bottom 6 mins and has the “Grit” that we are looking for. Plus what should be pick 40-50 next year. Not nearly as bad as people think. Goodrow, well it’s 600K more than I expected, 6 years seems long but the cap will reach 90-100M by then so who cares. He is actually better on the dot than our current 3C(Chytil) who we can now package to trade for Eichel. You guys will like Buch but he won’t be the same points guy that he was here long term. He is a good 2nd line guy

Blais has his moments, but let's be real. He's nowhere near Buch, and really, nowhere near where he should be as a player given his tools. Does he finally reach potential in NYC? Maybe, but trades are made in the present. It was a total fleecing.

Ha! It took a surreal amount of injuries happening all at the same time and lasting for like two months just to get the Blues to 17th overall, which was their highest draft slot in a decade. Me thinks you're being overly optimistic there.

I get it, STL is the best and got ripped off for their 3peat and back to backs. JB regression was a fluke and bad puck luck. And strangely enough all the teams around you aren’t getting better. Cup bound Blues 👍🏼

You think they are a top10+ team. You said that by implying their 2nd would be very late

1- Yes, when reasonably healthy, they definitely are.

2- Well, technically I just dampened your idea that their pick would be mid-to-high by noting that they haven't had a pick higher than 17th in 10 years. So yes, that seems like a longshot.

1. I hope for you’re sake they are
2. I still think it won’t be pick 54-64

Time will tell

People need to slow down with the charts and points. If there was a stat for hiding behind refs and looking like a total wuss, he'd be the leader. Except for this year, which just so happened to be his contract year. Gms knew his ask and were obviously freaked out, hence the Schmidtty return. Reasonable 5x4.8m, 5.3m max, anything more is crazy. Either way, he will frustrate you, guaranteed. Just my honest opinion. Although going from soft team to gritty team will hopefully add 5lbs to his little nature.
