Based on new rumors

Description
I see the Rangers want Coleman, and apparently haven't ruled out Kravstov in an Eichel deal.

Just wanted to see the optics of these rumors... works for this year, will be tough for next year. Pretty contingent on Goodrow being good at center; I can't imagine getting Eichel without Strome + Chytil anyway. Swap Coleman and Kreider based on who's hot, etc

Meh rather keep Kolesar. You want to do that deal for Reaves or Carrier sure

When you’re giving up 8 pieces to get 2 in return you’re likely not making a good trade. Sabres will want quality over quantity.

Any team trading for Eichel will be giving up 4 or more pieces... some extras here for the other guy and to help sway the decision to NYR. There are also RFA pieces which probably don't amount to a full thing. I'm not seeing any other team with a better offer here; two middle 6 centers one very young, a top 6 young winger, a young goalie with starter or 1A/1B potential, a young 2nd pairing defenseman with power play QB ability, and a 3rd pairing defensive defensemen, and draft picks... compliments existing pieces (Cozens, Dahlin, etc) on BUF very well

Buffalo isn’t going to want 6 different players. They’ll want 3 or 4 at most that are of quality. That’s the issue. I thought the asking price for Eichel was something like:

One young C
A Prospect
B prospect
1st round pick
Salary back

Likely don’t need to send as many pieces. I’m sure something like Chytil + Kakko + Schneider + Strome + 2022 1st would do it.

Solid input from both of you.
I am a Sabre fan here and think this would be the MAX that Buffalo could expect in an Eichel trade.

If Hájek and 2022 2nd round pick (STL) are for Miller, Buffalo would be crazy to say no.

IMO, Buffalo would kill to get this return.
I hope we can agree on this.
While Buffalo does not need D-men prospects, I think without Ristolainen, Miller will get more PP time and could return to his previous offensive output then the Sabres could flip him at the TDL.
TBH, I think Girgensons would be included in the trade instead of Miller.
I understand the Rangers are looking to add some grit to the bottom 6.
I am probably rating Zemgus too high but the 2022 2nd would be close to his value.

Zemgus could potentially work now, since the Rangers are rumored to be signing Nemeth. I figured they'd want someone short term while the rest of their D prospects develop, and Miller could have worked there, but such is life haha.

Either way, good to see a Buffalo perspective on it. Thanks!
