CAPS - Give me some feedback

Team: 2021-22 Washington Capitals
Team Explanation
Kuzy - I think he stays to play his trade value back up and maybe trade him next summer, when presumably McMichael is more ready and Lap is at least in the AHL. That way they can trade Kuzy for futures instead of asking for minimum a 2C back.

Holtby - nothing more than a glorified backup now, but it'll be really nice to see him back with the boys especially if Van pays the Caps to take him.

Edmundson - Probably a better younger Dillion, but very similiar contracts 3x3.50 left on Edmundson vs 3x3.90 left on Dillion. I read MTL is looking to fill that RHD hole left by Weber, maybe Schultz is enough for MTL to make the swap? I might be overvaluing.

Easy no from Vancouver. Canucks could do something around Holtby for Jensen.

Canucks buy out Holtby (only $500k cap hit this year) rather than part with that much draft capital.

Caps could pick him up for pennies on the dollar for the depth.

Jensen had a good year in 2021, so he has positive value. Holtby doesn't have positive value, or else the Canucks would have traded him already. Holtby's adjusted GAA was 4.05, so his underlying stats are actually worse than his production. Holtby is coming off of his two worst years in his career, with sub-.900 save percentages.

I wouldn't expect the Caps to move both Schultz and Jensen. It's one or the other, and Schultz would probably be the easier contract to move with only a year remaining.

Montreal will not let go Edmundson, because the chariot deal have one year left and Joel is younger

Not paying a 1st to get rid of Holtby when he could just be bought out.

If you'd rather move Schultz that's fine, but cap is obviously going to be tight in Washington.

Jesus Christ that Canucks trade is brutal. He has one year left on his deal, no chance you're getting a first. We could literally just buy him out and have a 500k cap penalty for the year and you want a first? lmao you gotta be joking me.

    True, didn't consider that!
