I was advising on the value of the original trade. When you have Fiala omitted from both the roster and the trade, it’s hard to know what you’re thinking.

Brutal lineup IMO. You’re presumably going for it by getting Eichel but then proceeding to field 3 garbage lines and missing playoffs. Not sure what the plan is here.

Top 5 first line, yes. Below average second? Maybe. Above average bottom six, absolutely. This lineup beats Minnys current crop of forwards 10/10 times. Great take bud.

This is where I'm at too. It's a 1 line team with a shaky d-corps. That 1st is a Top-10 pick MN just traded away.

Not top 10, valid on the d core, but is it really? Brodin and Sprug are two of the best in the game defensively. Menell showed out last year in the KHL. Dumba is solid, granted he'd be paired with Spurg. Cole was great last year, Addison performed well in the playoffs. Question mark? Yes. Liability, nah.

If you think this is a cup contending team, you’re either delusional or trolling. And if you acknowledge that it’s probably not a contender, then I really have no idea what your plan is because you’re completely F’d next year on cap. $2M over with 17 players signed.

I mean if you’re just messing around, then by all means have at it. But if you’re gonna be snarky and defend your moves like this is some sick ACGM that only you thought of, I’d recommend you pump the brakes.

The pairs would end up Brodin/Dumba, Cole/Spurgeon (I think Cole runs away from this disaster of a team and doesn't re-sign). ???/Menell (or Addison). It's a very small d-corps too.

MN is also out of the West and going to be playing actual hockey teams, not over half their season against ANA, SJS, LA, and AZ. Just on paper COL, DAL, and STL are better than this team. That puts them in the Wild card hunt with 1 Pacific team, WIN, NSH, and whatever CHI is doing. If anything doesn't go "right" for them and they are out of the hunt before the TDL. The depth is gone, and there isn't anything to callup due to injuries.

This team looks very similar to the Eichel/ROR teams BUF had.
