Hmmm that Backlund deal is interesting. I'd imagine NJ would prefer the contract that is off the books sooner but that deal is hard to turn down. If its me I'd accept.

I don't hate this, but I think you're overpaying for Eichel (I know, sounds crazy). The ask is four 1st round equivalents, and his health is in question. Buffalo only has 2 days before his NTC kicks in and they lose more leverage. Unless, the bidding war changes, I would say take one prospect off that list, and keep the two first round picks.
