With all the money you’ve retained you could sign Landy

Yep - but again trying not to get too cocky with cap space... gotta sign Hughes, Smith, Bratt, Zacha, and potentially Murray.

Interesting trades........I'd consider all of them not sure how the other teams would feel. I'm just glad you didn't try to trade for Lafreniere that title had me worried.

I personally like it. I'm a little skittish about giving Hamilton $9.5 mil but with Jones getting it, he'll get it for sure now. Smart job keeping cap flexibility to sign Hughes and the rest of your young forwards.

Another post had us shelling out so much money that we were down to 3 mill all for our core players to have playoff experience lol

Yeah, I wouldn't rely on the cap going up because that's how you get into trouble real quick. This is a solid offseason that allows you to add, but still keep an eye to the future.

... and submitting that Tarasenko offer will only extend the period of laffter.

Or increase your salary cap while adding depth for cheap?

The Blues are not shopping for depth, and they're not really that cheap. They'll happily wait for a better offer.

Okaaay, Buch is not depth. I was saying that AJ and Butcher are not that cheap for depth players. The Blues already have cheaper, if not also better depth players.

You do realize in this ACGM we retained half AJ salary..... 1.7 mill for this season and next season IS cheap for a depth player especially freeing up 7.5 million so you can sign those other better depth players lmao

We already have the depth players, and most of them cost less than AJ. Sorry, but 1.7M is not cheap for how he played last season.

Given that you have better FWD's than the Devils and he was pretty decent in Toronto, I'd say he'd do fairly well with STL

Not following your logic. He would not be playing in our top six. There will be no Tavares around to carry him offensively.

lol like you know where players will end up in a lineup....Jesper Bratt was a 6th round pick and ended up on a top like with 2 1OA picks....

1- Uhh, yeah I kinda do. It's not a big mystery. Even if Schwartz leaves, the Blues are likely going to have to use either Thomas or Kyrou on the 3rd line as is. And even if Tarasenko leaves soon-ish, he'll likely be replaced a trade catch/UFA signing well above AJ. Maybe go ahead and look at the roster, bro. We're deep.

2- Yeah... on the Devils. Not at all the same thing.
