Would you do Schmidt for Schultz and Sheary?

Gives you a RHD on a 1 year deal and a solid bottom 6 guy

personally, id rather recoupe picks especially due to the fact that schultz is another offensive dman, which is something the canucks are full of. value wise, im sure it checks out

feels like kuzy should get moved, but the 3 RW each making over 5M is tough too. they seem to be in a tough spot not having any big prospects coming up

Ovechkin backy Wilson
Mantha Kuzy Sprong
Sheary Eller Oshie

I think that’s how the top 9 will look. Hoping we move Hags and Sheary so McM can play. ELC that should be able to handle 3line minutes.

Issue Kuzy is still good but his value isn’t great or won’t be great till Eichel is moved

is there even a bit of concern that Ovi leaves? like one team just ponies up 12M per? havent listened to anything about it

With the GM painting himself in a cap problem corner, I doubt you get that much for Schmidt

Capitals won’t let him leave. I think keeping Kuzy helps him stay. Ovechkin won’t leave the capitals imo. They made him the richest player in the league when he was 21 years old. There is a loyalty to the capitals. I think they are waiting to sign him till the cap space is just right. Imo they move Schultz next for like a 3rd sign Ovechkin then sign some cheap vets

Nucks got Schmidt for a third-rounder and then he had a down year. What makes you think he’s worth a second and fourth? Not unless there’s salary retained

they took advantage of a team trying to sign the top UFA last summer. he now has one less year on his deal, and it's a very hot market for D right now
