A nice heated Jets debate

Description
Morrisey - DeMelo ( Samberg)
Dillon - Pionk
Stanley - Samberg (DeMelo)

or

Morrisey - DeMelo (Heinola)
Dillon - Pionk
Stanley - Heinola (DeMelo)

Morrisey, Dillon, Stanley and Pionk are pretty much locks on where they will play. Dillon being a left-shot defensive defender will be perfect with an offensive partner in Pionk. Stanley will most likely solidify the bottom pairing where it seems he will provide a lot of physicality but with sheltered minutes. Now DeMelo really complimented both Morrisey and Stanley last season and I would prefer if DeMelo was on the top pair to help Morrisey and give the bottom pairing to the rookies. The debate now is the type of player the jets should pursue with the one last RHD spot. Niku, Poolman and Beaulieu won't make the cut and I think we can all agree here. However, there are two players in the system which are Heinola and Samberg and the type of player that should be there. I don't see the Jets going and adding another RHD in FA and chances are its given to either Heinola or Samberg. Both are LHD but both are capable of being on the right side as we have seen from them in the AHL. Now lets discuss what player provides

Samberg: 22, 6'4" 216lbs, American left shot defender than plays a solid defensive game with some offense

Heinola: 20, 5'11" 185lbs, Finnish Left shot defender than is an offenive defencmen with smart defensive skills

I want to bee the comments on who should get that final spot, for me I would go with Samberg and that is because a team like the jets, their forward core isnt the best defensivly and a more defensive core would make up for that and as well I prefer heavier defenecmen because in general teams that go deep in playoffs have those types of D-cores. Now I completely understand that teams need a puck moving defencemen and I see that coming from Pionk, he can transition the puck into the neutral and offensive zone and as well be the quaterback for the powerplay. I think a big bodied young defencen would be good with both Stanley on the bottom pairing as a sandpaper pairing and as well a decent partner for Morrsiey to stabalize that top pairing blueline.

Heinola is definitely more NHL ready, and I think a Stanley-Heinola pairing would be awesome

This is Coach Maurice we are talking about....u really think Stanley and Heinola will play together?

If we don't get another RD I think it will be like this:

Dillon-Morrissey
Stanley-Pionk
Heinola-Demelo

And if it just doesn't seem to work, we get someone at the TDL
