Canucks
Top line: Pettersson elite center, Brock Boeser goal scorer, JT Miller could also act as playmaker.
Second line: 1B Bo Horvat, Hoglander young ELC winger, Garland all around player
Third line: Dickinson defensive PK player, Podkolzin scrappy power forward
Fourth line: Motte grit winger
Second pairing: Hughes puck moving defenceman
Third pairing: Rathbone young offensive D man
Starting goalie: Demko elite goalie
I say the Canucks aren’t looking too bad, just gotta shape up the d core and we should be legitimately good.

This is really the take i dont understand people don't see more if JB can get a few legit shutdown RHD this team easily makes the playoffs and should make noise in them too

Exactly. People may say that we lost the OEL trade but to be completely fair, JB did what he said he was gonna do and that was make the team better to make the playoffs. Forward group is set. Just gotta move Holtby and get a replacement plus 2-3 RHD and we are a legit playoff team.

I don't even think we lost the OEL trade tbh i think OEL will bounce back a bit, he will be a legit #2 on our team imho yes the contract will suck at the end but its fairly buyout friendly, I really think OEL will have a bit a career resurgence like Elder did in his mid 30s, Holtby replacemt should be fairly easy The hardest thing For JB to get right now is the RHD defensive Dman, which he should be fine it will be hard but wont be the hardest thing in the world i think the hard part is over now just need the finishing tocuhes

I think canucks should bring in Hamonic again and play him on the third pairing with Rathbone as a veteran defensive d man. I like the idea of trade for Nutivaara and a pick for Schmidt. Our left defense seems to be the offensive side and getting defensive d men on the right side would be a perfect balance. We just need a top pairing RHD to finish up.

I would like to see Rathbone play. His late season cameo was not bad. I also have no clue what’s gonna happen with Juolevi because he is kind of the odd man out with no future in Vancouver now that OEL has joined the LD group.
