Description
Johnson, Okposo, Burns, Girgensons, Hagg, Kuemper, and Koskinen off the roster at the end of their contracts. Frees up a ton of cap when the rookies need new deals. Retention on Eichel only lasts 1 year after that. Skinner contract gone an additional year after that(assuming there's no buyout later on).

I think the sabres should be using cap space for picks but I'd try to keep the term as short as possible - I think 3 years is about the limit they should go

Burns still has positive value so we’re basically paying a 1st for Collin Miller here.

Needless to say, that’s not a good deal for us.

Honestly wasnt sure, ive seen sharks fan say his contract is horrible and they want it gone. What would you do here? grin

I think the bigger problem is he has a NTC which I doubt he'd waive for Buffalo.

Oilers accept and will match the Kuemper deal and add a mid tier prospect with that much salary retained in the deal

Likely. Both teams blow but at least he lives in SJ

Wild decline easily for quite a few reasons
1) only one of boldy, or Rossi are being offered
2) cap
3) not taking on cap dump like Rask and also greenway will not be added, it will be Kevin fiala for cap purposes

I doubt they'd do that. Kuemper is a rental and they just signed Smith - why would you spend a 1st + on a rental goalie who is going to play <50% of the games?

Sharks can probably find a much better deal for their first cause this is pitiful
if we're moving a bad defense contract it's going to be Vlasic, not Burns who is still a pretty strong offensive dman.
