I remember when the Pens fans were saying he would be the immediate Letang successor....now he's being shipped out to Anaheim for a 2nd. Has he fallen off that much?

Yeah, why the desire to trade him? Two weeks ago he was the second coming or something.

No, I wasnt sure the value because of Comtois. Should ANA add more?

I get it. Why they want to trade him, though?

Oh I didn't mean to **** on your offer. I was just saying I was surprised he may be available. I have no idea what Comtois would be valued at either.

Wouldnt trade just Comtois for that package, or straight up for Marino

Would probably be based around Rakell from ANA, they only move Comtois if Eichel is coming back the other way

Rakell + Deslauriers For Marino as the base of the deal, balance as needed

At this point Zucker is a cap dump, especially to a rebuilding team like ANA

Just read that too, but wouldn't look too hard into it, especially not in this trade. Much rather keep Marino + Zucker.

What I took from it is that if the right return came to GMRH, that he would obviously give it enough thought. Essentially, he is not untouchable, which at this stage of the Penguins should pretty much go for any Penguin.

I don't expect GMRH to do much at all this week, with exception to signing a bottom 6 winger and potentially another dman. Philly fans have warned us of this, so I am not expecting any huge trades or signings, even with how badly the Pens need to bring in a good player to compensate for McCann's departure.

From what Ive been reading, Rakell isnt that good now. And he is 28 and will be a UFA, while Marino is 24 and signed until he is 30.

Id be okay with Nick Ritchie replacing McCann in middle six. Adds 16 goals plus some spine, which we lack.

Rakell is still good, hes still a second line forward, he just isnt a top line guy like ANA has been forced to use him due to our awful forward depth (Another reason Comtois is a non-starter for Marino)

Pittsburgh's window to win is now, Even if the deal was built around Rakell + Manson the Ducks would probably listen, and PIT would be adding two win now pieces that they can resign for similar AAVs they are signed to now.

Rakell, Manson, Deslauriers, Shattenkirk, Silfverberg and Henrique are the most likely Ducks to be traded this offseason

Would Rakell, Mason (with extension), and picks/prospects for Marino be fair? Would Isac Lundestrom be an option?

I think they move Sam Steel before they move Lundestrom, Steel or Jones would be the two most likely "young" players we would move

Rakell + Manson + Steel for Marino, I doubt Bob Murray even considers it but I would do it tears of joy
