Nope it was 100% because of the garbage he was doing in dressing room and off the ice.

That seems like a pretty fair trade to me. I see a lot of people on here who seem to think a PK trade would be a cap dump where the Devils trade Subban+assets to get rid of him. I think that is wayy off. First of all NJ has no cap issues for the next year so there is no need to rid of the contract if a hockey trade doesnt make sense. Second, after an abysmal 2019-20, PK actually had a very solid season last year. 0.43 PPG not bad at all and he looked extremely good on the powerplay. He probably doesn't have much value without retention but I think with 50% a 2nd and 3rd is a fair deal for both teams.

its more likely to just be one pick but probably the 2nd cause of the cap retained, but it would be a dealine deal forsure as i see NJ not being anywhere near the top

I know of five issues. I will only tell you one. The team was meeting the alumni and their families. Everyone had arrived except pk. Then he arrived wearing a huge hat and made a grand entrance. He then ignored several hall of famers. Guy lafleur said in French, somebody needs to slap that guy in the back of the head.

Rejean Houle who is the president of the alumni, went to Mr. Molson and explained how many of the alumni players felt disrespected by pk.

The real concern was his no trade contract was kicking in the following season and wondered what he may be like once his no trade kicks in.

Not an employee but invited guest of one of the alumni’s. Trust me there was tension in the room. I can’t write in French but I can speak it and hear it.

I’ve known pk since 2007. He comes from a very good family but after he left Belleville, he loved the spotlight. Guy Boucher had issues with him when in Hamilton AHL.

Also, not everyone on here is a teenager. But every time I tell people my inside knowledge from 30 years coaching, scouting at Jr A, O & Q, I get mocked and laughed at by keyboard warriors that just make fun of people online. Just 3 days ago I blocked 4 people that lacked knowledge on Logan Mailloux. They were rambling false and untrue gossip.

Im not saying you're wrong, just in the age of social media its hard to keep anything off the internet like that. People always seem to find out and it spreads like wildfire. If there were alot of things like this behind closed doors then it makes sense why he wouldn't come back.

Fair point but the group that was snubbed have won numerous cups. They know how to conduct themselves. They don’t chase the media or social media and when Mr. Lafleur made that comment he said it to Houle, Cournoyer, Bouchard & Tremblay. I was standing to their left and I only told my wife. I certainly wasn’t going to betray players I grew up watching and felt honoured to be in their presence. This happened in December 2015. Six years ago.

Why say it now? like I'm glad you did but what's the reason?

It’s 6 years ago. An eternity in hockey. I was an agent for a few years and I had teams say they really wanted a certain player, only to be told 12 hours later they had no interest.

Rightly or wrongly hockey changes and moves incredibly fast. Many of the coaches, gm’s are divorced or on their second marriage.

From 2006 to 2015 I was heavily involved. Had two phones going. The turning point for me was the tension headaches and the constant phone calls. It interrupts family time. So I walked away and only do counselling with athletes now.

I’m still involved but on my own terms. Not making this about me but I always have time to explain properly to someone politely responding.

I honestly learned that from Jean Belliveau at a dinner in 2000.

Nice, I'm no teenager as you said before but I'm still learning more everyday and Im hoping that Im able to make an impact in the hockey world eventually. I love coaching the game and im currently trying to get started on that side of the game now that I'm no longer playing anymore.

Depending on your skills, knowledge, desires, start in minor hockey, get your coaching certifications. If you want to go higher junior b or a, start as volunteer.

I started in 1992 with bantam A, worked my way up. Also helps a lot to buy books on communication, leadership, team building, teenagers

Right now I'm in the process of looking for a local hockey team that needs help on the bench and at practices. I'd say my knowledge is good enough to start around Bantam age group and be helpful but I'm Mainly looking for experience to help with actually translating my knowledge into verbal communication between myself and players.
