On one hand, this contract sucks. Bad.

On the other hand, it's Ovi. So... I don't know what to think.

That's what the team should be playing for tbh. They got Ovi his Cup, and they probably aren't winning another. Get the man a scoring record.

Hasn't had a major injury. Due for one as he is 35 plus now. Going to regret this signing not so far down the road.

So be it.

He's currently the Caps' best player in the playoffs, he's still registering a point a game and he's still scoring over 40 goals over an 82 game season.



He'll do it again next season.

Age is just a number for some people.

You absolutely give him this extension.

I know I'm in the minority.

But at this point, it doesn't matter.
