a 7x9 deal for Hamilton is hardly an overpayment.....maybe by a little, but not a lot.

maybe for the first couple of years but the guys 28 and the devils aren't gonna be major contenders for a couple of seasons and hell be declining. Take it from troubas point of view and hes younger, not every big name guy works out the way you want him to.

Yeah except Hamilton is significantly better than Trouba and has been for years....not an apples to apples comparison. I'd expect regression as he ages but nothing crazy

Agreed but the Devils arent in contention right now so theyll have to outbid other teams in order to get him. All im saying is dont be surprised if you see a similar situation to trouba (even if hes better)
