The new tampa

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 27, 2021

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trade 1 - ANA
Could add to this deal not sure what it would cost to get grant.

Trade 2 - BUF
A cap dump

Trade 3 - ARI
Another cap dump.

Trade 4 - CBJ
Absolutely no idea what this trade would look like. Roslovic had a career year and will be hard pressed to repeat it considering he was on pace for ~55 points with his previous career high being 29. The one thing that is encouraging is that he thrived in a defensive system similar to trotzs so that wont be another drop in production. I see him as a 40 point player with upside. Not opposed to adding if im off on my values.

Landeskog - 7 years x 8.5 million
A top winger this team is gonna be stacked with him lee and beau down the left side. He and lee could be switched depending on what works better.

Murray - 4 years x 3 million
A solid LD2 there are a lot of options here. If he wants more money we'll go get someone else. The one guy im completely not interested in is suter.

Edler - 1 year x 1.25 million
A decent LD2 he will make a solid 2nd pair with dobson. The fact that theyre playing 3rd pair is even better.

This team has awesome forward depth (18-44-12 as a 3rd line), now has great d depth (edler-dobson as a 3rd pair) and with their elite tandem in net, should probably be the favorites to win the cup. I would be really happy if this was the team opening night. No bad contracts in palmieri, cizikas, or suter. All 3 of those are gonna look real bad in a couple years to whoever gives them.

Nope we’re not moving our number one center.

You'd spend all that coin on Landy and then saddle him with the 2nd line?

Fair enough, but if he was to be dealt, honestly what would he cost. Bc hes not a 1C even though hes your best center.

Like i said he and lee could be switched depending on who works better with who. Also nothing wrong with having great depth, i mean sergachev played 3rd pair.

Honestly i don’t think he would get traded. He’s a Columbus kid. Plays a position of organizational weakness and wants to stay and grow here. And he’s young. There isn’t an incentive to trade him. He wouldn’t garner the he holds to us in any trade so it’s not really a consideration.

CBJ. are also likely to say no…for now.

JR had a great first season here, and they have to keep something beneficial from the Laine trade 😂

Right now? Yes.

To trade him, CBJ would want an overpay. Bellows is looking like more and more of a bust, and Raty is still too much of a question mark.

Fair but i dont honestly think he can keep his 55 point pace up. What more would it take for the value to make sense. I mean raty is a boom or bust guy but remember before the season he was the consensus number 1 pick. He certainly has the upside to be your future 1C. But thats only if he bounces back.

True. I’d love to think of JR as some version of Krecji, but time will tell.

As for Raty, there are far too many “ifs” and “maybes” around him right now to commit. If he was so certain to be a future 1C, he wouldn’t have lasted to the 2nd rd.

It’s hard to tell what his trade value alone is right now…trading him would give you two years control for a clear Middle-6 C. It’s subjective, I know, but CBJ value him for his intangibles right now - Cbus native, and outspoken team advocate, probably future C or A, depending on how the next year or two shake out.

Unless someone values him so much to throw a 1st around for him, I don’t think they budge for the time being.

No i certainly dont think raty is anything close to certain my point was he could be. As for roslovic, id love to pick him up but i just dont see it being realistic. Also now with landy gone, that need for someone on a really cheap contract isnt there.
