THat's basically a 2nd round pick for Meier. You're not even close. I don't get all these super lowball offers for Hertl and Meier and then you guys put them on your top line. Sorry to say but 1st line players are not cheap, pay up or back off.

Ikr. Meier apparently isn't worth more than Risto or Seth Jones who are both total ass analytically. But then every single AGM, Timo's playing with Hischier or MacKinnon on the top line.

I understand it's a fantasy hockey forum. But I'm not making posts trading Burns and a 3rd for Barzal. At least try to be realistic to a degree or it's boring.

Sure that just proves my point that Landeskog is near impossible to replace without giving up a lot of assets. He should be able to get more than 7Mx7.

The Avs don't need him. They don't need him at all. They would have signed him for that absurd number by now if they needed him.

Way better off if they let him walk - Sakic knows it too.

Who fills his spot in the lineup? I don't see any UFAs or cheap trade targets that could fill that hole.

Thing is that he's not that hard to replace on the ice. He gets to ride passenger on a line with 2 elite linemates that do the vast majority of the heavy lifting while playing pretty easy offensive zone minutes and not having to do any PKing or anything like that. Avs are going to really regret giving out that long of a contract to Landeskog.

think he understands, this was just proving with our comments how hard Landeskog is to replace and cemented his belief that Landeskog needs to be resigned.

I don't think his line mates put up that many points without Landeskog.

JFresh thinks he's worth 8.47M

Sorry. Perhaps around this time I am reading too many ACGM's - they get cluttered. Break time.

Avs could sign Tatar for a fraction and get almost the same production while having money to address their actual needs in terms of addressing the depth of their lineup.

What does Tatar get 4.5Mx4? That's not that much less than Landeskog.

Tatar has only produced better than Landeskog for 1 season, other than that he has hung around 50 points per season. Tatar is also far worse defensively and was slumping so badly at the end of last season Montreal made him a healthy scratch for most of their cup run.

I mean sure he's an option but a risky one.

Landeskog got more points than Tatar and Compher combined last season.

Landeskog played with the 2nd best player in the world and maybe the best RW in the game to get those numbers, which is the entire point of why his role isn't one worth spending out the butt for. Whoever is playing with Mackinnon and Rantanen is going to put up huge numbers with an ounce of ability. You don't need to handicap yourself long-term on Landeskog to play that role, especially when Tatar can probably be had on a 2-3 year deal that expires when Mackinnon needs his extension and costs about half of what Landeskog will AAV wise, which allows them to either address goaltending or add some much needed depth on the 2nd and 3rd lines.
