I see a lot of fair value trades that actually work out to a major and positive transformation for the Yotes.
The only trade that looks way off is Pittsburgh, and I think the Montreal trade is skewed a little too much with the picks; but considering the amount of trades involved here I'm aware that's a bit nit-picky.

Ok I'll bite...

Cgy trade: Too much for CGY. Smith is having a resurgent season but by no means should anyone go nuts for him. He's expensive, he's old and unpredictable. Not to mention a NTC. Smid is on LTIR so it has no effect for CGY and Elliot is gone after seasons end. This trade is is essentially Gillies and a 1st rounder for Mike Smith. That way too much for CGY to pay.

STL trade: STL can't take on that much salary. Please take into account other teams caps or else this trade loses all significance and is poorly thought out.

Ott trade: Maybe. I feel Duclair has proven more so far in his career so even if Lazar was the higher drafted player, he'd be slightly more valuable. Maybe if both teams were willing to move on it could work.

Chi trade: I just don't see it. Vrbata could be had for less by himself. Jooris is waiver bate. Debrincat is a pretty decent prospect, Kruger can be traded for at least a couple picks before the expansion draft. I wouldn't do it if I were Chicago.

TOR trade: Why is T.O doing this? They don't care about having to pay his salary, they are a rich team. They get the cap relief from his contract with LTIR so Horton isn't a big deal for them. Stone is going to free agency and could be had for nothing. In fact if I'm Stone, Toronto would be one of my top choices to go play for. Also in general, Toronto although are in a playoff race aren't going all i this year. If they make the playoffs its gravy on the cake as they say......Or is it icing on the potatoes........Whatever you get my drift.

MTL trade: Deal would be ok if both draft picks were removed and there was no retention on Hanzal's salary. Not saying I would do it but that would be the going rate. Maybe a conditional draft pick added like a 3rd or 4th if they make it to the Cup finals or something like that.

Pit Trade: Why is Arizona doing this? They could have Fleury for way easier. Pittsburgh is the one that has to sell short on Fleury. They will lose Murray for nothing if they don't. Trade should be Fleury for Domingue and maybe a UFA cap dump if you had one.

EDM trade: LOL believe me if this was possible, MTL would of done it a long time ago. Even at 50% retained nobody wants to give the Habs a draft pick. Thats why the Hanzal trade makes more sense. DD is the condtion to make the trade happen.

Car trade: Yeah sure I guess. I don't think they would but if for whatever reason they wanted a guy like McGinn, this would be a pretty fair trade.

CLB trade: This really hinges on if Clarkson is done for his career. If their is a possibility he could come back and be healthy, I would do this if I'm CLB. Bjorkstrand is good prospect but look at CLB's depth chart. they ave plenty of offensive fire power. If the cost of losing Clarksons contract is one prospect in a position they have plenty of depth already, then you got to make that move. This is more of a financial move.Nothing really to do with what your getting back but you are getting back a couple ok pieces.

Overall: This wasn't that good.

It's not mine, but I thought it was a decent shot at it. Here's why:

Quoting: F50marco
Ok I'll bite...

Cgy trade: Too much for CGY. Smith is having a resurgent season but by no means should anyone go nuts for him. He's expensive, he's old and unpredictable. Not to mention a NTC. Smid is on LTIR so it has no effect for CGY and Elliot is gone after seasons end. This trade is is essentially Gillies and a 1st rounder for Mike Smith. That way too much for CGY to pay.
Calgary is on the fringes of the playoffs and needs a solid goalie. I don't think Smith is a long-term answer, but he can solidify the position this year, and Calgary is stacked with young goalies for the future. Calgary also gets out of paying Smid.

STL trade: STL can't take on that much salary. Please take into account other teams caps or else this trade loses all significance and is poorly thought out.
Arizona would probably need to keep some salary here, with no changes to what's coming back to Arizona. We also don't know what other moves St. Louis will make. Moving Shattenkirk could potentially free up a lot of cap.

Ott trade: Maybe. I feel Duclair has proven more so far in his career so even if Lazar was the higher drafted player, he'd be slightly more valuable. Maybe if both teams were willing to move on it could work.
Both players are underperforming youngsters with a lot of potential. I don't think they're needed, but if you want to throw in some late round picks to help you balance it, that's easy enough.

Chi trade: I just don't see it. Vrbata could be had for less by himself. Jooris is waiver bate. Debrincat is a pretty decent prospect, Kruger can be traded for at least a couple picks before the expansion draft. I wouldn't do it if I were Chicago.
Chicago has no problem giving away very promising youngsters for veteran rentals that can help in the playoffs. They know they can't pay these guys down the road anyways. Moving Kruger's big cap hit gives them more flexibility going in to next year with the expansion draft and free agency.

Toronto really doesn't have to worry about how much they have to pay someone outside of how it affects the cap. However, there's still a lot of money and time left on Horton's deal, so it's not crazy they'd make a small sacrifice to move him if they could. They have plenty of young talented wingers, so losing Kapanen isn't that big a deal. Stone may well choose Toronto in free agency anyways, but these trade and sign deals happen all the time.

MTL trade: Deal would be ok if both draft picks were removed and there was no retention on Hanzal's salary. Not saying I would do it but that would be the going rate. Maybe a conditional draft pick added like a 3rd or 4th if they make it to the Cup finals or something like that.
I agree with you about the picks.

Pit Trade: Why is Arizona doing this? They could have Fleury for way easier. Pittsburgh is the one that has to sell short on Fleury. They will lose Murray for nothing if they don't. Trade should be Fleury for Domingue and maybe a UFA cap dump if you had one.
Again; agreed.

EDM trade: LOL believe me if this was possible, MTL would of done it a long time ago. Even at 50% retained nobody wants to give the Habs a draft pick. Thats why the Hanzal trade makes more sense. DD is the condtion to make the trade happen.
Montreal doesn't have much cap space to keep 50% salary and replace the spot in the lineup.

Car trade: Yeah sure I guess. I don't think they would but if for whatever reason they wanted a guy like McGinn, this would be a pretty fair trade.
McGinn is a great middle 6 winger. He's got some years left on his contract that could be useful to Carolina if they think they have a shot at the playoffs in the next few years.

It's similar to the Toronto deal.

Overall: This wasn't that good.

Just my two cents on why I thought it wasn't a terrible effort, considering how much was involved.
