That's a lot of money
Not necessarily bad, but we should have been able to get him for less

Yikes. This is not a good contract. Montour is a defensive liability.

IF this team did not have that TERRIBLE Goalie contract of BOBROVSKY it would be even scarier going into this season. They are loading up BIG TIME! Love me some ZITO.

I don't think it is good or bad. If he continues playing the same way he was after being traded to Florida, it'll be a very good deal. If he doesn't, it's gonna be a bad deal. Just seems like such a small sample size to be giving out this kind of term and money.

Only in his buff years. He has been good defensively in Anaheim and Florida. I think Buffalo just made him look worse

Not too familiar with his time there, but based on his analytics from his time there, he was inconsistent to say the least. he jumps from being average, to a good bit above average, then he was below average. So I guess we'll see what the next three years do for him

Another solid signing by the Panthers, the team having the best offseason in the league. I've basically thrown out stats from BUF over the last 2 seasons. 3 years is also not gonna crush them if BM plays poorly.

Sorry, not gonna trust a guy whose charts say that Keith Yandle is an above average defenseman, and also that 91% of players are better than Kane

Solid D man that has had a bad year, IF he can bounce back then this deal should be worth it.

Full disclosure I wanted my team to acquire Jim from the ducks. But he was then awful in Buffalo. I thought he'd be a good bounce back target this year, but Fla got him early and felt he was good in their short time with him.

It's a gamble of a contract, but at 3.5 mil it's not that big a commitment. If he returns to form he's a 5-6 mil defenseman. I think it's a reasonable gamble.

Zito should've used Reilly as a comparable. Def a bit of an overpayment.

Suspect deals were roughly done at the same time so couldn't really... Besides Montour has done a fair bit more in his NHL career than Reilly
