To qualify for LTIR, a player must be expected to miss at least 10 NHL Games AND 24 days of the NHL season.
When a player is on LTIR, a team may exceed the salary cap.

But that players salary is factored into the cap already. With Capfriendly they take LTIR off the cap, you can't just add LTIR and expect to have that much bonus money

thats not how it works just please trust me. You're wrong. You can go over the cap in the fact that in real life they count the LTIR dowards your cap. In CF they take it off automatically

Follow the capfriendly cap space with LTIR factored in. Capfriendly just removes the cap hit of a LTIR player to simulate the ability to replace the cap hit. You don’t gain more cap space
