Ryan Murray for $1.5M? May need to triple that and add term.
You missed Mackey.

No deal starts without Rasmus Andersson as the main piece, you have to give Buffalo something they need and you haven't done that.

1. Zary will likely top out as a 3C and Buffalo has plenty of guys in that range and can sign cheap depth options like that whenever

2. Valimaki isn't needed. They already have Dahlin and Power as the likely top 2 left handed defenceman. You'd be trading them someone they'd use for a 3rd oir which they're better off signing in free agency.

3. Dube is a nice piece but can't be the centre piece of the deal. With the first 2 assets already being useless to Buffalo this makes Dube the centre point which just isn't enough value at all.

& picks are whatever.

Likely looks something more like Andersson + Pelletier + 1st round pick just as the starting point. If not you'll easily be beat by multiple other teams.

Sorry but you are wrong they definitely take Zary, Dube and Valimaki over Andersson and Pelletier. Have you not paid any attention to what theyve been asking for? Top prospect (Zary who definitely tops out as a 2nd line center ur wrong thinking he tops out at 3rd line), and they want two young nhl ready 1st rnd level players (Dube and Valimaki) and then they want a 2022 1st. Andersson might satisfy the young nhl ready player but hes almost 25 so theyd rather have Valimaki. And Pelletiers peak is definitely lower than Zarys so they wouldnt want Pelletier instead. They literally just got linked to Hague as well who is a lefty so the handedness of a dman clearly isnt a huge deal for them especially considering Power wont be ready for a top role for several years.

Tell me you know nothing about hockey without telling me you know nothing about hockey.. congrats you've done that.

The listed package here isn't interesting to Buffalo. As I said, it literally fills no needs for them. Why would they trade their franchise player for stuff that they already have?

You're analysis of Zary is far off. I'd love to hear why you think he gets 2nd line ice time - unless you're a scout I honestly probably don't care. I work as a scout for Hockey Canada and am willing to bet that I have watched him play more than you and there isn't any top 6 upside to his game - he's a very smart player, but the offensive touch isn't there to be a top 6 guy. He'll be more of a defensively responsible player, which are used on the 3rd line. If there's no offence to his game there's no chance he makes 2nd line. Pelletier actually has far more upside as he's defensively responsible and can create offence, as well as he's much faster than Zary who's an average skater. Pelletier is definitely the better prospect and the more valuable piece.

As well, Andersson is most definitely preferred over Valimaki for handedness and purely better player. The only reason why Buffalo is linked to Nic Hague is because Vegas doesn't has any high upside right handed defence in their system so they can't fill that need and Hague has the ability to play both sides. If Vegas had a similar player to Hague that was right handed, I guarantee you that player would be asked for over Hague.

As for you mentioning that the listed package is preferred over what I mentioned of Andersson + Pelletier + 1st round pick as a start, because of Buffalo's asking price:
1. It's an asking price by Buffalo - it negotiations you start high and come down.
2. I literally exactly said that the 3 pieces I mentioned were the start of a deal. So saying it doesn't meet requirements is false because it wasn't the entire deal, it was a starting point based off what Buffalo needs. Buffalo isn't going to settle for pieces that they already have, that doesn't progress them in their build. The offer here has good value, but just doesn't make any sense from the Sabres point of view.

Im not gonna debate with you lol but first off you arent a scout. Second I got an insider on the Flames that have told me what the Sabres initial asking price was and it doesnt include Andersson but does include Valimaki and Zary. Btw if you want to pretend ur a scout do your research because pelletier isnt a good skater either he just works hard and doesnt give up on pucks, similar to mangiapane. Take a look at Zary and Pelletiers nhle and tell me who you think has higher upside cuz ur wrong. Do you really think a scout would say “tell me you know nothing about hockey without telling me you know nothing about hockey”. Come on man your just a kid who doesnt like that someone disagrees with you online. Boohoo you lil clown!

Lol. You think I have to prove to you that I'm a scout? I don't care if you believe me or not, doesn't change my job. & you're still the one sitting at home behind mommy and daddy's computer!

Lol having an "insider from a NHL team" as a fan. You probably read the reported ask from another team and try to move similar players - that's not how it works. But sure, I'll believe some fan that says "an insider from the Flames" told him something. Great story bud! 😂
