    Honestly if we picked up Danault I'd try to move Kadri. MTL fan as a kid and they'll need a replacement for Danault. Anything from them that's of use ends up as a win if you view it as Danault plus for Kadri, and leaves a bunch of cap space for another forward (or two if JTC gets moved as well).

    I could see the logic in moving Kadri for pieces instead of letting him walk for nothing. But, if capspace allows I'd prefer to have a year with great C depth. Mackinnon/Danault/Kadri would be among the very best in the league.

    I know you're a big Danault fan but I can't see Sakic signing a UFA and definitely not for that long.
