I wouldnt necessarily call it "horrible", Mrazek is a great goalie and the Leafs now have a highly reliable goalie tandem

3.8 seems steep, but he is a good goalie. You get what you pay for

Mrazek contract is fine. Spending 5mil on goaltending is not bad at all

It is when you've got a F depth like TOR has and when you spend 1/2 of your cap on 4 forwards

They sign Ritchie and Bunting and that's the F depth added, they are counting on Robertson filling ice along with their current younger bottom 6 players all improving slightly

Mrazek's Deal actually is good for what he does. Gonna be a good 1b with Campbell

That means there's an issue with cap allocation in the forward group. 5M in net isn't the problem here.

About 5.4mil total for the net this year. If that stops the team from upgrading elsewhere I would say there is other problems with the roster.

This is a good signing, I would see if Jack would resign now for around 3 mil for 2 years. Then the net is locked in for 3 years. 5.4 this year. Around 7 or so the next two.
