After More Information - Accurate

Created by: LogicOnly
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 28, 2021
Published: Jul. 28, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Buffalo let Vegas know they wanted Hague, Krebs, a 1st, and Rielly Smith for Jack Eichel. This was confirmed.
Hague - Young top 4 defensive prospect (accurate rating confirmed)
Krebs - Young top 6 forward prospect (accurate rating confirmed)
1st rounder - bottom 20 because of Vegas' position
Reilly smith - roster player, middle 6 (Unconfirmed - he has hit 30 and has declined in the past 2 years, so may be a bottom 6 forward? But for the sake of this arguement, we are going to give him the benefit of the doubt)

Point is: This trade is Factually accurate, so not comments saying its a bad trade or you will be ignored. My question is: do the bruins accept it or not? If you dont want the bruins to do it, thats another story, but in terms of value, it is 100% correct. Debate, and do it respectfully! And again, no debating whether buffalo does it or not, because they factually would.

  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Studnicka, Jack
  3. Vaakanainen, Urho
  4. 2022 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Debrusk > Reilly Smith (younger too, so much more value)
Hague > Urho (though not by much because they are both still young and bruins had an influx of LHD)
Studnicka < Krebs (Again not by much at all, but even moreover, he replaces Eichel
and the 1st is the same (a bottom 20)...

So it is factually the same trade (if not better because of debrusk)

Nothing has been confirmed.

You used no facts, only opinions.

Krebs is a better prospect I think and I think Smith is better than debrusk but yeah debrusk has a little upside I guess. Even if all things were equal you move him out west not in your division to a rival.

That isnt necessarily true at all. Just look at their stats, they have very similar numbers in the minors. Studnicka is a bigger body too and has much room to grow. Studnicka played a solid season in the AHL last year as well (like 2020 season)...
Again Krebs is better and younger, but not by much. Regardless, Debrusk is significantly younger than Smith and marginally better, so thats why I included that. It cancels out and then some.

I did almost the same trade, just added another first, to make up for inter divisional trading and a little bit of the prospect skill difference. I got absolutely flamed for it. Not as much as I thought, but roasted nonetheless.

No thats legitimately wrong according to a number of sources. If that were true, he would be a projected "middle 6 forward", not "top 6 forward" where most people are saying he is

Well than you at least know what you are thinking. These people dont understand how it works. Of course its not a perfect math, but if thats what Vegas was getting offered, it stands to reason that this is accurate too, so with your extra first, you were overpaying!

Lol, 2nd line is top 6. He’s not a #1. He’s middle. Nobody says otherwise, except delusional B’s fans.

Im not even a bruins fan.
Top 6 - Second liner with the chance of being a 1st line player
Middle 6 - Will make the top 9 most likely, but also has the chance to be a 2nd line player.

People have been calling him "top 6" since about 2019, he was a steal in the draft as is

Well you are of the minority i guess! I cant change your opinion, but using the general consensus, this is a good trade.
So, do bruins take it?

Actually it’s industry wide opinion

Of course the Bruins take it. Buffalo does not

No,

and again if you think bruins take it thats good! that answers the question. But buffalo likely does take this (unless you have a non-value based reason that they dont)

Because it’s less than they want and in division.

That in division thing is big.
