I'm just going to judge this contract alone on it's terms and not worry about the surrounding team. In my opinion, the dollar amount and term number looks just right for the player, considering the season he just had and where he is in his career. Don't have any concerns about the structure of the deal

As a leafs fan, well familiar with Barrie, this is fair to be honest. But it's the last thing Edmonton needs.

You have mcdavid on that powerplay. Whether Barrie was there or not you'd still score - and that's kind of the point.
