I like this for both sides. Edmonton gets a bottom 9 forward and Carolina gets a young bottom pair defender

I actually like this trade for both teams. I like both players and wanted them on the leafs.

Only issue is why the oilers are trading Bear (to sign Ceci to a 3x4), but the trade itself is fine

I hate it here. Foegle is a good player, but the Oil needed Bear more. Also Bear is of Cree descent and has spoken openly about facing racism in hockey.

Foegele wanted out, and getting a good young defenseman for him is a win in my book. Bear is probably the Jake Bean replacement, and that is an upgrade imo.

Huge dub for the Canes. I guess Bear can slot in beside Slavin and he's still on the younger side with potential. Foegele also gets a better opportunity in EDM. I like this trade for both sides but I like it better for us.

Foegele is a good 3rd line guy. He works hard and can add some grit when needed. However, considering defense is Edmonton’s #1 need I’m not sure this was the best move for them long-term. I guess we’ll see.

EDM has tons of bodies on D, while CAR has few. This trade benefits both teams.

Some people will say that Bear is better than Ceci or Barrie, but that's not necessarily true.

because hes a good 40-50 point powerplay quarterback. if hes too much for some teams then thats ok. but hes too good for europe.
