That's a bit steep but it's not like Seattle lacks cap space. Fills a big void at center too.

A bit pricey for a 3C (on most teams) but still not bad.

He's shown flashes of being worth this from time to time. I voted no for the time being, but I wouldn't be surprised if a top 6 role really helps him become worth this.

I’m sure giving Wennberg a 4 millilion dollar contract with term is smart. I mean, look how well it worked for Columbus!

Wait….

Oops.

This would be a bad contract for almost every single team. But not for a expansion team with a lot of cap and a HUGE HOLE in center position.

IMO Granlund (like 500k more?) was a better option for Seattle.

Not a fan of Francis at all.

I get that SEA has no center depth, but they could've spent their money much more wisely. Wennberg still can't score to save his life; he shot a ridiculous 20.7% this year and is unlikely to do so again (see: Acciari, Noel).

He'll get a good opportunity in Seattle, but Francis just tossed a lot of money on a project.

Depth at center is always a good thing, especially considering how little depth Seattle has there. A bit of overpayment, but he’s not old enough nor is the contract long enough for this to be considered a “dangerous” signing.
