You realistically need a guy to play 15-20 games with Vasy. Tampa doesn't need to pay their backup goalie anymore than this. Solid signing.

I think it's ok. He'll only get 15-20 Starts. He can't be worse than McE and the price is right. Worse case we bring up Hugo when the backup needs to start and send him back down after.

Tampa finally realized even they need an NHL caliber backup. Curtis McEelhinney looked like a total BUM in the crease for them last year.

I guarantee his numbers will improve substantially next season. He spent the last season behind a bottom 3 Defense in the NHL. Eliot will produce at least a .910 save % next season with the Bolts. A+ signing.

I think we need him to play a bit more honestly. Maybe not banged up (Vasy), but the human body needs rest. Vasy has played a lot the past year. Elliott probably sees 20-30.
