Am I crazy for voting no? Based on last season he's not worth this much, especially for a "prove it" deal

If Laine can prove it, this is a good deal. We'll see if this is good as the season goes on.

As a Jets fan, anything over $700,000 is an overpayment

With a new coach and Voracek to feed him with pucks, he could have a great season

They wouldn’t have been able to pay him less without renouncing his rights.

I’d still bet he’s traded before all is finished.

Anybody who voted no doesn't know what a qualifying offer is.

They had no choice. Could you imagine the criticism that Jarmo would take if he walked away from Laine for free.

I didn't realize this was his QO, I thought it was an actual deal they signed. So when you factor in that it's not so bad.

If you say no you're basically saying they should have let him walk or that they should have signed him for term at a higher AAV.
