This is a phenomenal signing. He was the best D in the KHL last year, and he’ll be a good offensive 6th/7th D. The habs need RHD, especially offensive ones badly.

No risk in this deal, so I love it for the habs. Wideman was great in the KHL this season.

Very happy to See Wides back in the NHL, but I gotta question his choice of location. I really can't imagine the Habs liking his style of game at all. I think he's an NHL player, but I don't know if he's a regular for Montreal.

If we're digging at the bottom of the barrel for RHD, he's probably among the best we could hope for. At least he's not Deangelo?
