I don't like the amount, but it's only 1 year and this takes us a step back on getting DeAngelo which I'm ecstatic about.

Man, Ceci got more than 3M/year and you guys are complaining about less than 3M for just 1 year to Ian Cole? I don't get it. Compared to the STUPID things made by Carolina, till now, this sign sounds even better.

Cole is a solid player.
People want to say overpayment, but it's like they aren't paying attention.
You look at one defensive contract and go overpayment.
You look at a second defensive contract and go overpayment.
You look at a third defensive contract and well at some point.....it's the market.

I think it's a solid deal by CAR. 1 year, the AVA is what it's going to be to get a guy this year.
He'll probably play better than people here think as well.
Overall I think Cole has a good game, as long as people don't expect to much and don't get in his way.
