Absolutely there is no way the Sabres offer Dahlin that contract.

Better do it now before he is worth more. Just as good as Heiskanen and this is for less $. Played great under Granato

Cale Makar. Probably the best defenseman right now signed a contract for $9 mil/season. He's elite. Dahlin, is a not there yet. $8 mil for Dahlin is just crazy. If you have been watching what the Sabres have been doing this off season they have been avoiding signing guys to large contracts with long term. My guess is Dahlin gets 2-3 year deal for $4-$5 mil/season.
