Brassard ain't getting that much money on a 3 year deal. A 1 year 1.5 mil contract makes more sense than. He would have to take under 1m for me to even consider it. Also Arizona won't accept. Throw in a 2nd and it is a deal. Yamamoto ain't signing for 4 years on a 2m deal. 2-3 years 2.25-2.75m seems more likely

Not sure which other teams might be pursuing a starter, but at the moment Sakic is probably more motivated than any other GM. Colorado, like Edmonton, is rumored to have interest in Kuemper. Sakic does have free cap space now that he's lost Grubauer, and he has some very nice assets that could be made available to Arizona. I think the Avalanche probably have the inside track, and unless they opt to go after Ullmark, it is going to be very difficult for Holland to negotiate a reasonable trade with Arizona.

I'm betting he clocks in closer to 2. Maybe a bit less term. Brassard will take that imo. Lots of term and $ flying around
