People remember Tatar isn't coming back right? They also remember we weren't a offensive force of nature right? So why the **** is everyone complaining about us adding a goalscorer?!
Center is another question but we needed to replace Tatar offensive output and that wasn't gonna get done by playing Byron on the second line.

Bergy collecting locker room cancers like Thanos collecting the infinity stones. I'm sure all the MTL player's wives will love this signing.

Who else is a locker room cancer in here? If you say the guy that shared nudes you dumb as hell.

Would prefer to actually get something back, but that's an option

In the playoffs Tatar produced 1 assist, and that worked out pretty well. Byron and Lehkonen were already penciled in on the 4th line before this signing.

Simply put we dont have Left handed forwards who score. Our PP1 last year was Toffolo, suzuki, caufield, petry, shea/perry (all Right handed) That takes options away from you on the PP. getting a natural sniper like this is awesome for us. Better than Tatar. Now we somehow need a PMD but i dont see it, prob gonna be romanov or norlinder. Also hope we sign perry, i just feel perry willl feel slanted getting a min deal after his stellar year.

Yeah, and if this team can produce enough at the most important time of the year, I trust them to produce during the other parts of the year.

Perry shouldn’t cost that much, but he would be 10th on the depth chart for wingers, so I don’t see it being likely that he’s back.

Why? You're allowed 10% over cap in the offseason and when the season starts Weber shifts to LTIR so right now we've got about 9 million to work with. If no other UFA wants to sign here we're Gucci, if another addition is coming then it's another story but it's not "for sure".

We have about 9 million to work with but we also need to resign Lehkonen (who's QO is high 2's if I'm not mistaken) and Kotkaniemi who should be given a contract in the 3-4 Million dollar range. That's 5-6 Million right there.

Tatar replacement who only needs to hit the 45-50pt mark (which he has easily cleared/paced every year since 14/15) to perform at his AAV. I do not mind this at all, even if the middle is where the need is.

Habs keep picking up all the locker room players.

Seriously though this is a pretty good contract.

I have a bad feeling about this.
KK and Lehkonen not signed yet.
Chiarot the only real money coming off the cap when Suzuki, Evans, and Romanov are due.
Obvious needs unaddressed.
If the players we are counting on for improvement actually improve, they could price themselves out. (Of course there are always trades to make room, but that's not going to get any easier.)

Could we be looking at moving KK, Caufield, and/or Romanov in a play for Eichel?
